Greenberry Industrial in Jennings, LA is seeking experienced fitter-welders to join our fabrication team. You will read blueprints, lay out metal parts, and perform FCAW welding while applying GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, SAW, and oxy-acetylene methods.

Ideal candidates have proven fabrication welding experience, can read shop drawings, and maintain safety and quality in a heavy industrial environment. Strong communication in English is required for teamwork and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication welding and reading shop drawings.
• Must have FCAW experience and be able to pass a weld test.
• Safety-focused with attention to quality and detail.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and specs to lay out metal parts.
• Perform FCAW welding and other processes as required.
• Apply GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, SAW, and oxy-acetylene techniques.
• Cut, shape, and fit metal using torches, brakes, shears, and bending equipment.
• Repair worn parts by welding new layers where needed.
• Maintain safety and follow company procedures at all times.
• Tackle additional tasks as directed by supervision.

NOW HIRING: Experienced Fitter-Welders - Jennings, LA Fabrication Shop

Greenberry Industrial is looking for skilled Fitter-Welders to join our team in Jennings, Louisiana. If you've got hands-on experience in fabrication welding and a solid work ethic, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Reading and working from blueprints and specs to lay out and assemble metal parts
• Performing FCAW welding (must be able to pass a weld test)
• Using various welding techniques: GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, SAW, oxy-acetylene, and more
• Cutting and shaping metal with torches, brakes, shears, and bending machines
• Fixing worn-out parts by welding on new layers
• Showing up on time, ready to work safely and efficiently
• Following all safety guidelines and company procedures
• Tackling any additional tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in fabrication welding (FCAW experience is a must)
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings and blueprints
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail
• Positive attitude and solid communication skills
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English

Physical Requirements for Heavy Industrial Fabricator

• Standing/Walking:
  Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10-12 hours per shift).
• Lifting/Carrying:
  Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and tools weighing up to 50 lbs regularly; occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistance or lifting aids.
• Manual Dexterity:
  Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate tools, welding equipment, grinders, torches, and machinery with precision.
• Reaching/Bending/Kneeling:
  Regular bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching in tight or awkward spaces, including working at heights or below grade.
• Climbing:
  Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and work on elevated platforms or scaffolding as required.
• Vision and Hearing:
  Must have adequate visual acuity (with or without correction) for welding, reading blueprints, and operating equipment. Hearing must be sufficient to detect alarms, radio communications, and verbal instructions in a noisy environment.
• Environmental Tolerance:
  Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments, exposed to varying temperatures, dust, fumes, and loud noises (PPE provided and required).
• Endurance:
  Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and sustain physical activity throughout the shift, including during overtime or extended shutdowns.
