Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of welding experience required.
• Welder certification required.
• Ability to stand for the full shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds regularly and 100–125 pounds occasionally with team
• Must be able to push, pull, grasp, finger, turn, bend, stoop, crawl, reach overhead, squat, crouch, and kneel.
• Required PPE includes safety glasses or goggles, steel-toe shoes, gloves, and welding helmet.
• Respirator may be required and welding leathers, hearing protection, and apron are optional.

Responsibilities

• Fit, weld, and assemble parts and subassemblies from a variety of materials.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment, including MIG, TIG, ARC, fuel-gas, arc-air, wire feeders, cutters, hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools.
• Meet production schedules and work to required time and quality standards while following safety rules.
• Use strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of metals, equipment settings, feed rates, and shielding gas flow.
• Measure accurately, read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings, and build fixtures as needed.
• Set up, change over, and maintain equipment, and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions, and communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers.
• Use hand and foot controls as needed and work safely around moving machinery.
• Tolerate minimal welding fumes and maintain adequate vision and hearing for safety signals.
• Other duties as required.
