Tyson Foods in Ringgold, VA seeks a Welder/Fabricator to join the 1st shift. You will fabricate and weld components using TIG, MIG and ARC processes, read blueprints, and operate shop equipment ensuring precision and safety.

The role requires reading schematics, setting up welding fixtures, and maintaining tooling. Strong emphasis on quality, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Industrial Technology degree or a related field, or a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Ability to weld pipe, read schematics/blueprints, communicate effectively both written and verbally, sound judgement in project implementation.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate/erect metal components per blueprints, sketches, or verbal orders.
• Weld using TIG, ARC and MIG processes in multiple positions.
• Set up and operate welding and fabricating equipment and inspect parts for conformance.
• Read blueprints and measurements, and use calipers/micrometers for close tolerance work.

**Job Details:**# **This Tyson facility is not accepting rehires at this time****Job Posting:*** 1st Shift* Full Time* Ringgold, VA**Pay Level - $33.05****Essential Duties*** Capable of fabricating/erecting assigned tasks using various types of metals; stainless steel galvanized black iron. Ranging from angle iron channel iron round flat stock etc.* Capable of performing the 3 major types of welding TIG welding ARC welding MIG welding.* Must be able to safely operate hand power tools shop equipment to include metal shear, metal brake, drill press, metal lathe, plasma cutter, oxy acetylene torch sanders, etc.* Able to weld in multiple positions – flat, vertical, horizontal, or overhead.* Must be capable of reading blueprints specifications sketches, work orders, plan layout assembly and welding operations.* Perform close tolerance to meet layout print specifications using calipers micrometers etc. as needed.* Set up and operate welding fabricating equipment to perform jobs, blueprints, sketches or verbal orders.* Examine parts for defects and measure parts to ensure conformance with specifications.* Perform machining with lathe broaching tools, drilling, tapping and other machining functions.* Must be proficient in AutoCAD or other design software.* Maintain tools equipment in a safe clean and orderly manner including shop tools welding cutting gauges and welding equipment.* Follow company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations.* Performs other job-related duties as assigned.# Welder/Fabricator Maintenance applicants must possess: Industrial Technology degree or a degree in a related field, or a minimum of 3 years of experience.
