Job description

POSITION: Welder/Fabricator (Night Shift) NIGHT SHIFT: Monday - Thursday, 4:00pm - 4:30am (OT as needed) PAY RATE: $23.00 - $26.00+ per hour (DOE) + $2 shift differential pay + Full Benefits Package LOCATION:West Fargo, ND SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the safe and efficient fabrication of steel products. The Welder I is an entry-level welding position, with all work being completed with close supervision.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALITIES
  • Able to perform simple flat and horizontal welds and flat groove welds.
  • Able to Fit and weld subassemblies with tack or spot weld.
  • Able to perform measurements within specified tolerances.
  • Exhibit knowledge of material identification, equipment utilization and welding equipment set-up and maintenance.
  • General knowledge of equipment and operations.
  • Basic understanding of Weld symbols.
  • Understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
  • Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.
  • Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.
  • The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1 year of welding experience preferred.
