Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Auburn, AL is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator for a full-time, hourly position (40 hours weekly) with Monday through Friday shifts and an immediate start. You will read drawings, lay out parts, and weld with TIG/MIG to assemble components that meet customer specifications.

You will fabricate pieces, inspect them using calipers and gauges, troubleshoot welds and equipment, and work from blueprints, ensuring tight tolerances and clean, safe workmanship.

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years welding/fabrication experience.
  • Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
  • Must pass pre-employment welding assessment.
  • US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

  • Welds using TIG/MIG and other methods with 2+ years experience.
  • Lay out, position and secure parts per specifications.
  • Tack welds or weld components and assemblies.
  • Examine customer order specifications and blueprints for required materials and setup.
  • Fabricate work pieces per work order and retrieve correct materials.
  • Inspect work pieces using calipers or gauges to ensure standards are met.
  • Troubleshoot welds and welding equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Climb ladders, work in restricted spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Overtime may be required and safety policies must be followed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Manufacture customized products that meet customer specifications and install equipment. Full time, hourly position, 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday. Immediate start.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities
  • TIG and MIG welding experience of 2 or more years.
  • Lays out, positions and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and tape measure, etc.
  • Tack welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.
  • Examines specifications of the customer's order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.
  • Fabricates work piece as determined by work order specifications. Retrieves correct materials and performs various fabrication duties.
  • Examines work piece visually, by touch, or using tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure product meets desired standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot welds and welding equipment
  • Self-Motivated with the ability to work within a team environment or independently as required
  • Ability to use precision hand tools, standard mechanical tools, and fabrication shop equipment
  • Maintains condition of work area (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work in small/restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required
  • Follows company safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of or older
  • Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) of welding capabilities
  • Understand, read and write communications
  • Must be a U.S. or , U.S. permanent (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Education and Experience
  • HS Diploma or GED .
  • 5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
Qualifications
  • Experience with fabrication shop equipment.
  • Metal working experience .
  • Orbital Welding experience
  • Plasma and/or oxyacetylene cutting experience
