Job summary

Gerhart is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Tatamy, PA. This hands-on role involves turning raw material into finished products with precision, following blue prints or sketches, and contributing to high-impact projects.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with TIG/MIG welding and metal fabrication, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and committed to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Familiar with common metal shop tools and equipment, including TIG/MIG welders and grinders.
• Effective communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Experience with Pipe Fitting, Tube Bending, and Compression Fitting.
• Forklift certification required.
• Capable of heavy lifting (50 lb+)
• Able to bend, crawl and lift for extended periods safely.
• Self-motivated with strong critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate from professional blue prints or sketches as required.
• Work with a variety of metal welding and grinding/sanding techniques to high degree of accuracy.
• Fabricate from raw material to finished product.
