Qualifications

• At least 2 years welding experience requested.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with shop team under a Shop Supervisor.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain positive work habits.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications.
• Use basic math to calculate dimensions and weights.
• Inspect materials before and after welding and perform final weld inspection.
• Operate an Oxy/Acetylene torch and weld using GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW in various positions.
• Grind and gouge metal as needed and operate overhead bridge cranes.
• Apply rigging techniques and ensure welds meet AWS D1.1 and AWWA D100 standards.
