At Kelly Professional & Industrial, we’re seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator (Direct Hire) to join our innovative manufacturing team in Scottsville, NY. If you have experience with welding, fabrication, and equipment maintenance, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Pay: $18-28/hr. Direct Hire!

Schedule: A Shift (6am to 4pm, Mon-Thurs) or B Shift (2pm-10pm, Mon-Fri).

• B Shift applicants must be able to train on A Shift for the first month.
• Paid Lunch Breaks Included!

Summary: As a Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible for welding and cutting using Oxy-Acetylene and plasma tools. Your mechanical aptitude will be key in maintaining and repairing equipment, motors, gearboxes, bearings, and other components. You will work across various areas in our plant to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Essential Duties:

• Fabricate components and structures using equipment such as shears, rollers, saws, and press brakes, according to technical drawings and diagrams.
• Maintain production furnaces, including greasing, checking bearings, and repairing furnace shells.
• Maintain ingot cleaners and rooftop heating units.
• Service exhaust and positive air fans throughout the plant.
• Inspect and maintain hoisting equipment across the plant.
• Assist with the destruction of reactors for the Nitric Acid team.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Must be clean-shaven or able to pass fit testing to wear a respirator.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, climbing, and crawling.
• Comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled environment with exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise levels.
