RealTruck is hiring a Welder Fabricator at our Lafayette, IN facility. The role focuses on TIG welding stainless steel parts and accessories for semis, with grinding and finishing work, and training on the laser welder.

Must be able to TIG weld multiple gauges of stainless steel. You will set up components per specifications, read drawings, and meet daily productivity goals in a fast-paced, team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of TIG welding experience or recent certification from a manufacturing or technical program.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to TIG weld multiple gauges of stainless steel.

Responsibilities

We are currently hiring a Welder in our Lafayette, IN facility. Job tasks include TIG welding made to order stainless steel parts and accessories for semis, grinding and finishing work, and training on the laser welder. Must have the ability to TIG weld multiple different gauges of stainless steel.

Position Summary

• Perform TIG welding on products.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications, work orders and/or prints.
• Cut aluminum to specification.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws .
• Must be able to work from specifications, drawings, and welding symbols.

Education and Experience:

CORE FUNCTIONS

• Perform MIG & TIG welding on products.
• Perform cosmetic welding on products.
• Must be able to meet daily productivity and output goals (production outputs are measured hourly/daily).
• Set up components for welding according to specifications, work orders and/or prints.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical/ horizontal).
• Repair product and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
• Cut aluminum to specifications.
