Job summary

Hilltip Inc. is hiring a Welder in Fort Wayne, IN to fabricate pre-designed truck body components and weld parts to meet specifications. You will read build sheets and blueprints, operate welding equipment, and ensure quality fabrication.

The role requires reading technical drawings, attention to detail, and adherence to safety guidelines. You may assist other departments as needed, with a Monday–Friday schedule and standard pay preparation, including potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Welder and ability to operate various welding equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Knowledge of health and safety guidelines in welding environments
• Strong attention to detail in fabricating and assembling truck bodies
• Willingness to assist in other departments as needed

Responsibilities

• Fabricate pre-designed pieces for truck bodies using common metalworking tools
• Cut, fit and weld pieces of truck bodies to meet specifications
• Read build sheets, blueprints, or verbal instructions to ensure correct fabrication
• Assist in other departments as needed
