Ultimation Industries, an MCE company in Roseville, MI, is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join our team building custom conveyor systems and metal structures. You will fabricate and weld per drawings, inspect quality, and support mechanical assembly in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

This full-time role emphasizes craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork across projects nationwide. Ideal candidates will have MIG welding proficiency, blueprint reading skills, and a commitment to quality.

Welder / Fabricator — Conveyor Systems & Metal Fabrication

At Ultimation Industries, our Welders and Fabricators are part of a manufacturing team that builds custom conveyor systems and material handling equipment for automotive plants, food processors, fulfillment centers, and more. You will fabricate and assemble metal components and structures according to engineering drawings and specifications, perform MIG and other welding processes, inspect your work to quality standards, and support mechanical assembly of conveyor systems when needed. This is a hands‑on role for someone who takes craftsmanship seriously and works well as part of a team. What You’ll Do

Welding and Fabrication

• Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Perform MIG welding as the primary process; TIG, stick, and other welding methods as required by the job.
• Operate welding equipment, grinders, saws, and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
• Apply metal finishing techniques as needed to meet quality and appearance standards.

Quality and Safety

• Inspect welds and finished products for quality and compliance with standards before release.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and best practices in welding and fabrication.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely as needed to move materials and components.

Team and Production Support

• Assist with mechanical assembly of conveyor systems and related components when required.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Provide support to other departments as needed to ensure smooth workflow across the operation.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

Must Have

• Proven experience as a welder and fabricator in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in MIG welding with consistent quality and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in welding and fabrication.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or welding certification preferred.

Nice To Have

• Experience with conveyor systems or industrial automation components.
• Knowledge of TIG, stick, or other welding processes in addition to MIG.
• Overhead crane and/or forklift experience.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for supporting assembly tasks.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with experience in a production team environment.
