What You’ll Do

As a Fabrication Welder in our Custom Shop, you will weld carbon pressure vessels and custom refrigeration equipment using stick welding techniques. You’ll ensure structural integrity and quality while adhering to ASME code and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Fit, tack, and weld out pipe usingstick welding.
  • Operate Miller and Lincoln scratch start welding machines.
  • Set up and adjust welding equipment for voltage, current, and gas flow.
  • Perform high-quality welds with precision and attention to detail.
  • Inspect welds and structures for defects and compliance.
  • Collaborate with team leads to meet project deadlines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and environmental health standards.

What We’re Looking For

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • MIG or Stick welding experience.
  • Ability to pass a6G Stick Weld Teston 5" schedule 80 pipe using a6010 rootand7018 fill and cap.
  • Ability to work 1st shift (Mon–Thurs, 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM) and overtime as needed.
  • Strong attendance and work ethic.
  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift.

Preferred

  • Pipe fitting experience.
  • Sub arc welding experience.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

  • Must be able tolift and move up to 35 poundswithout assistance.
  • Must be able towork outdoorsin various weather conditions up to20% of the time.
  • Must be able toread a standard tape measureaccurately.
  • Must havevisual acuity, with or without corrective lenses, sufficient to read blueprints and inspect welds.
