AGI Fabricators in Milwaukee is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. You will join a craft-focused shop handling carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum, performing welding and fabricating with precision.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, selecting materials, operating rollers and brake presses, ensuring quality, and maintaining equipment and safety standards. This full-time role offers growth in a collaborative, safety-driven environment.

Formación

• Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience as a Welder/Fabricator.
• Driver’s License; welding certificate preferred.
• Physical ability to move throughout office, site, and outdoor environments.

• Equipment Operation: Operate fabrication machinery (rollers, brake presses, hand tools).

• Material Preparation: Prepare materials for welding and fabrication.
• Welding Operations: Perform MIG/TIG welding tailored to materials.
• Quality Control: Inspect welded/fabricated components for quality.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Material Selection: Advise on material selection per specs.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain welding and fabrication equipment.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols.

Work Location: AGI Fabricators – Milwaukee

Division: Manufacturing (Full Time)

Under the direction of the Welder/Fabricator is responsible for working with various materials (including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum), and will be adept at both welding operations and operation of fabrication equipment and handle a range of materials to meet diverse project requirements.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED or a member in good standing with a local bargaining unit
• Years of Relevant Work Experience: 5 years’ experience as a Welder/Fabricator
• Certificates/Licenses: Driver’s License. Welding certificate preferred.
• Physical Job Requirements: Move throughout office, construction site, general outdoor environments, and use/climb a ladder

Key Activities

1. Material Expertise: Work with a variety of materials and understand their unique properties and requirements.
2. Equipment Operation: Operate fabrication machinery (rollers, brake presses, hand tools).
3. Collaborative Fabrication: Collaborate closely with fabrication team to integrate material-specific expertise.
4. Material Preparation: Handle and prepare materials for welding and fabrication.
5. Welding Operations: Perform welding tasks using various techniques (MIG, TIG) tailored to specific material being worked on.
6. Quality Control: Inspect welded and fabricated components to ensure they meet quality standards.
7. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
8. Material Selection: Advice on material selection based on project specifications.
9. Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on both welding and fabrication equipment.
10. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols when handling various materials and operating machinery.
