Qualifications

• 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Thorough understanding of machines/tools used in welding.
• Basic understanding of design techniques (plans, drawings, blueprints).
• Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments in various forms.
• Basic understanding of mathematics related to welding.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment including flame-cutting and hand welding.
• Read blueprints or plans for finished products.
• Fit up and tack weld weldments.
• Make jigs or fixtures for higher quantity orders.
• Check dimensions and weld quality for compliance.
• Maintain premises and equipment to professional standards.
• Follow PPE, safety and company rules.
• Other duties as assigned.

• The ability to operate a welder. Cut and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment.
• Look at blueprints or plans for the finished products.
• Fitting up and tack welding weldments.
• Making jigs or fixtures for higher quantity orders.
• Checking dimensions of assemblies or parts, overall quality, appearance, and soundness of welds.
• Responsible for the quality of the projects he/she oversees.
• Ability to TIG, MIG, Stick, flux core Steel, Stainless and Aluminum.
• Maintain premises and equipment to the highest possible standards to maintain a professional image.
• Ensure all PPE, safety and company rules are followed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Basic understanding of design techniques (plans, drawings, models, and blueprints).
• Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.
• Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
