Penn Pump & Equipment Co Inc, a member of Peak Industries, a family of brands focused on comprehensive building management solutions, is seeking a highly experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their team in Hatfield, PA.

Requirements:

  • 10 years of welding including MIG, TIG and Stick
  • Fabrication experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Experience performing material takeoffs for components needed to manufacture the system

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products
  • Perform material takeoffs for components needed to manufacture the system. This would pertain to fabrication components such as pipe, steel, pipe flanges, weld necks, fittings, elbows, hardware, gaskets, etc. The main system components are ordered by the project managers.
  • Create specific weldment set-ups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements
  • Conduct tests on assembled systems to verify functionality and identify any issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including any modifications or issues encountered.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Utilize handheld tools such as a handheld screw gun, drill gun, and grinders, calipers, and weld gauges
  • Maintain weld machines using preventative maintenance methods
  • Maintain inventory of manufacturing products and welding consumables
  • Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
  • Rework and/or repair welded parts and products according to engineering specification changes
