Job Description

A Welder/Fabricator is responsible for the repair of equipment by welding and fabricating parts as needed for equipment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Create quality welds to ensure equipment is operable
• Inspect welds for accuracy
• Prepare products to be welded by grinding, drilling, and cutting steel or aluminum parts
• Change welding wire as needed
• Maintain welding equipment
• Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required
• Perform simple maintenance and repairs as needed
• Understand and comply with company, customer, and health/safety policies, and any other regulations
• Report any incidents immediately
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Perform other duties as directed by management

Required Skills

• Knowledge of oil field equipment
• Ability to assess and troubleshoot equipment failure
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift 60 lbs and handle physically demanding work
• Effective oral and basic written communication skills
• Pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol screening and participate in the random testing pool
• Pass a background check and motor vehicle record check
• Reliable transportation to and from work
