ASGCO® “Complete Conveyor Solutions” is hiring a Fitter/Welder in Nazareth, PA. The role focuses on welding, fabrication, and installation tasks to support our conveyor and screening components.

You will work in a team-driven shop environment with emphasis on safety and quality, handling various weld processes and material handling operations. The position requires 3+ years welding/fabrication experience, ability to lift 50–100 lbs, and the capability to read manuals and follow precise

Qualifications

• 3+ years welding/fabrication experience including journey-level.
• Proficient with band saws, grinders, break, shear, drill press, chop saw and part painting.
• Basic math or geometry knowledge.
• Read manuals, follow prescribed formats and communicate requirements.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
• Multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift 50–100 lbs and endure long periods of standing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains welds on various items using multiple welding processes.
• Repairs metal surfaces for safe and efficient use.
• Installs items to complete projects safely within time frames.
• Maintains shop, equipment, tools, and vehicles for availability and safety.
• Coordinates with administration and other trades to complete work orders.
• Requests equipment and supplies to maintain inventory.
• Assists other trades personnel as needed.
• Transports items to job sites to ensure material availability.
• Works well with limited supervision.
• Responds to emergencies to resolve safety concerns.
• Performs other duties to support efficient operations.

The job of Metal Fabricator / Welder is done for the purpose/s of meeting demands and completing work orders in a timely manner; installing, repairing and fabricating materials out of metal; ensuring availability and functioning of required items; and ensuring safety and resolving immediate safety concerns.

Responsibilities

• Maintains welds on various items using a variety of processes (manual arc, tungsten inert gas, metallic inert gas, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required items ensuring safety.
• Repairs metal surfaces for the purpose of ensuring safe and efficient use of items.
• Installs various items for the purpose of completing projects safely and within established time frames.
• Maintains shop, equipment, tools, vehicle, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required items and ensuring safety.
• Coordinates with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
• Request equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring the availability of required items.
• Assists other trades personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
• Transports various items (e.g., tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site.
• Work well with limited supervision.
• Responds to emergency situations as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.

Qualifications

• 3 or more years’ experience with Welding/fabrication including one year of journey-level.
• Have knowledge and skills to perform the job using band saws, grinders, break, shear, drill press, chop saw and part painting.
• Have knowledge of basic math or geometry.
• Read a variety of manuals and follow prescribed formats with the ability to inform others and solve practical problems.
• Be able to maintain accurate records.
• Strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Have the ability to lift 50lbs to 100lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching and standing for long periods of time and significant fine finger dexterity.

Working Conditions

• Frequently exposed to regulated noise, cold working conditions also exposed to smells that are within.
• May be required to work overtime on needed bases.
