An established industry player is seeking an experienced Welder for the 2nd shift in Fort Wayne. This role involves welding metal components, performing inspections, and maintaining welding equipment. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with at least one year of MIG welding experience. Summary: Welds metal component parts of various thicknesses to specified dimensions on simple jobs by performing the following duties:
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education & Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of MIG welding experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience, basic blueprint knowledge, and ability to pass weld test are required.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to speak effectively with employees of the organization.
Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
