Job summary

Playworld in Lewisburg, PA, is hiring for an evening shift Welder in the Weld department. Starting rate is $24.00/hr + $1.00/hr shift differential, with a 35-hour cross-flex schedule option.

Responsibilities include welding per prints, maintaining 5S, and ensuring safe, compliant operation of equipment. Requires Mig welding experience, blueprint interpretation, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have Mig welding experience.
• Must interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Must have knowledge of safety regulations.
• Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs on average.
• Must be able to operate computers and pull a job order.
• Ability to read and interpret basic documents and measurements.
• Must work well in a team.
• Evening shift eligibility and availability.

Responsibilities

• Maintains compliance to environmental standard.
• Contributes to team effort.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Maintains weld dept appearance and 5S, cleans as needed.
• Maintains safe working environment.
• Stores completed welded parts per work order storage area.
• Ensures operation of equipment via preventive maintenance.
• Maintains specs by observing, inspecting, and adjusting controls.
• Regulates machines by setting up adjusting controls per SOP.
• Welds parts by pulse arc MIG welding per print and instructions.
• Carries, pushes, or pulls parts to area.
• Lifts and bends routinely.
• Welds require steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection.
• PPE worn within weld cells.

Responsibilities Include:

• Maintains Compliance to environmental standard.

• Maintains Weld Dept appearance by transporting materials to disposal area; recycling materials. Daily 5S. Cleaning as needed.
• Maintains safe working environment.
• Stores completed welded parts by placing item in appropriate storage area or staging area specified on work order.
• Ensures operation of Equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
• Maintains specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions, inspecting parts, adjusting controls.
• Regulates Machines by setting up adjusting controls. Setting must be within parameters specified on the SOP.
• Welds parts by pulse arc mig welding. Parts must be welded per print and instructions on work order.
• Carrying, pushing, or pulling parts to area.
• Lifting and bending frequently.
• Steel toed shoes are required at all times.
• Safety glasses are required at all times.
• Hearing protection required at all times.
• Within the weld cells, proper PPE must be worn.

Qualified applicants will have:

• Must be a high school graduate or have equivalent training.
• Must have Mig welding experience.
• Must be able to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Must have knowledge of safety regulations.
• Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. on average during a normal workday.
• Must be able to operate computers.
• Must have the ability to pull a job order utilizing a work order.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence.
• Ability to count and ability to measure equipment using a tape measure.
• Must be able to work as a team.
