Job summary

Playworld Inc. in Lewisburg, PA is seeking a Welder for the morning shift in the Weld department. Starting rate is $24.00/hr with a Cross Flex Schedule offering 35 hours paid as 40 hours.

Responsibilities include welding per print, maintaining a safe workplace, following 5S practices, and aging/disposing materials as required. OSHA safety rules apply. 50 lb lift limit; PPE required. 5S daily, teamwork essential.

Qualifications

• Must have Mig welding experience.
• Must be able to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Must have knowledge of safety regulations.
• Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to operate a computer.
• Must be able to read and interpret basic documents and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Maintains compliance to environmental standard.
• Contributes to team effort.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Maintains Weld Dept appearance by transporting materials to disposal area; recycling materials. Daily 5S.
• Maintains safe working environment.
• Stores completed welded parts by placing item in appropriate storage area or staging area specified on work order.
• Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
• Maintains specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions, inspecting parts, adjusting controls.
• Welds parts by pulse arc MIG welding according to print and work order instructions.

• Regulates Machines by setting up adjusting controls. Setting must be within parameters specified on the SOP.
• Welds parts by pulse arc mig welding. Parts must be welded per print and instructions on work order.
• Carrying, pushing, or pulling parts to area.
• Lifting and bending frequently.
• Steel toed shoes are required at all times.
• Safety glasses are required at all times.
• Hearing protection required at all times.
• Within the weld cells, proper PPE must be worn.

Qualified Applicants Will Have

• Must be a high school graduate or have equivalent training.
• Must have Mig welding experience.
• Must be able to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Must have knowledge of safety regulations.
• Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. on average during a normal workday.
• Must be able to operate computers.
• Must have the ability to pull a job order utilizing a work order.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence.
• Ability to count and ability to measure equipment using a tape measure.
• Must be able to work as a team.
