Job summary

HCC, Inc. in Mendota, IL seeks an experienced welder to perform down hand acetylene arc and wire feed welding on a variety of parts, using jigs and fixtures to ensure mechanical strength and appearance.

You will read blueprints, operate inspection equipment, and maintain PPE, with responsibilities including first piece and periodic inspections, equipment changes, and safe, clean work practices. Starting pay is $26.07 per hour for 1st shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must read and interpret blueprints with accuracy.
• Ability to use inspection equipment and tools.
• Working knowledge of welding equipment and material handling devices.

Responsibilities

• Performs down hand acetylene arc and wire feed welding on various parts using jigs and fixtures.
• Welds for mechanical strength and appearance as per drawings and shop orders.
• Uses inspection equipment to ensure conformance and quality.
• Maintains PPE and keeps work area clean and safe.
• Performs first piece and periodic inspections as directed.
