Job summary

AAON, Inc. in Memphis, TN is seeking a Welder for a days shift (Mon-Fri, 6am-4:30pm) to perform routine welding on HVAC units according to blueprints and company standards.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of welding experience, the ability to read blueprints and tape measures, and may have welding certifications or Lean manufacturing exposure. Training on TPM and safety procedures is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1-3 years’ experience as a welder.
• Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executes routine welding tasks on HVAC units.
• Set up and maintain welding machine (tip, liner, adjustments) and weld vertical, horizontal, and overhead.
• Inspect welds for cracks, burn-through and weld spatter.
• Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools as required.
• Grind and clean welded areas as needed.
• Stay current in TPM and basic mechanical adjustments on equipment.
• Follow hazardous waste disposal and fire prevention procedures.

## Welder (Days M-F 6am-4:30pm)Apply: Memphis, TN: Full time: Posted Today: JR102780**Job Description:**Perform routine welding work on HVAC units according to blueprints, company standards and applicable standards to meet inspection criteria in accordance with defined requirements.**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:*** Executes routine welding tasks on HVAC units.* Ability to set up and maintain welding machine (tip, liner, changes, etc.) and weld vertical, horizontal, and overhead.* Inspect welds for cracks, burn through and weld spatter.* Use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, as required.* Grind and clean areas where required.* Stay current in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and basic mechanical adjustments on all equipment as needed.* Follow hazardous waste disposal program and fire prevention procedures.**Education and Experience Requirements:**Highschool diploma or GED preferred.1-3 years’ experience as a welder.
