TBEI – Lake Crystal is a leading manufacturer of Class 3–8 truck bodies and hoists, located in Lake Crystal, MN. This Welder role focuses on hands-on assembly of truck components, with opportunities to work with robotic welding and lean initiatives.

The position offers a stable schedule and competitive wages. Typical duties include welding, reading blueprints, and maintaining quality standards while contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math for measuring, assembling, and problem-solving.
• Ability to demonstrate welding ability and successfully pass required welding certifications.
• Ability to read and understand complicated instructions, blueprints, and work orders.
• Ability and willingness to learn and operate multiple machines and jigs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate welding equipment to weld and assemble truck bodies, hoists, and fabricated parts (including robotic welding equipment, as applicable).
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and measuring devices.
• Make welding equipment adjustments as needed to meet quality and production standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives by following process flow and remaining flexible to support team needs.
• Rotate between machines and jigs within the job area as required by scheduling, team needs, or safety recommendations.

What You’ll Do

As a Welder at TBEI, you’ll play a hands‑on role in building high-quality truck bodies, hoists, and fabricated components.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate welding equipment to weld and assemble truck bodies, hoists, and fabricated parts (including robotic welding equipment, as applicable).


• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and measuring devices.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to manually move products and materials up to 50 pounds through regular physical activity, including climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and bending.


• Ability to stand and work in various positions for several hours at a time.


• Work is primarily performed on concrete surfaces, ladders, and inside dump bodies.

Pay & Schedule

• Wages: $22.00–$30.00 per hour

• Pay Type: Non-exempt, hourly (bi-weekly pay)


• Schedule: Four (4) 10-hour days, Monday–Thursday
  Overtime as needed on Fridays


• Location: On-site – 52182 Ember Road, Lake Crystal, MN 56055


• Travel: Minimal to none
