SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Waste Pro Welder/Fabricator performs repairs to equipment parts, vehicles, and containers.

Essential Job Functions

1. Performs repairs and maintenance on front, rear load, recycle and roll-off trucks and other assets when necessary.
2. Cuts/welds repairs to vehicle floors, bodies, packing blades, rails, fabrication.
3. Welds steel and aluminum components using MIG gun and arc welding equipment.
4. Bends steel components using a break and shear.
5. Cuts steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
6. Fabricates steel components on trucks and containers.
7. Maintains shop cleanliness by sweeping welding debris, cleaning the welding area, and disposing of trash to ensure a safe work environment.
8. Follows all safety policies and procedures.
9. Completes required paperwork.
10. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Other Job Responsibilities

1. Attends and participates in corporation-sponsored training courses as assigned.
2. Keeps up to date on current technology used by Waste Pro USA.
3. Performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Waste industry experience preferred.

Physical Work Requirements

Work Environment

Inside and outside, with occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions.
