Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Welder, Combination, Maintenance to perform welding and fabrication/repair tasks in a military maintenance environment. The role requires working under the Container Repair Lead/Supervisor with adherence to AR 750-1, TM manuals, and MIL-STD 3037.

The candidate should have at least two years of welding/maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and certifications (AWS D1.1, forklift). Overtime including weekends may be necessary to meet objectives.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in welding/maintenance.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Must pass an NACI background investigation.
• AWS D1.1 Certificate required.
• Forklift Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding on ferrous and non-ferrous metals (mild steel, stainless, aluminum).
• Weld components to fabricate/repair parts per blueprints or work orders using GMAW, SMAW, GTAW.
• Report to Container Repair Lead/Supervisor and adhere to safety protocols.
• Work overtime including weekends as needed to meet objectives.
• Follow PPE and safety precautions for welding, cutting and grinding.

Under the supervision of the Container Repair Lead/Supervisor, The Welder, Combination, Maintenance is responsible for performing welding operations necessary to fulfill maintenance and fabrication/repairs in accordance with Army Regulation (AR 750-1), applicable Technical Manuals (TM’s), and Military Standard (MIL-STD 3037).

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reports to the Container Repair Lead/Supervisor.
• Performs welding operations ona variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metals to include, but not limited to mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Welds metal components together to fabricate or repair products, such as machine parts, plant equipment, shipping containers, according to layouts, blueprints or work orders, using various weld processes such as Gas Metal Arc Weld (GMAW), Shielded Metal Arc Weld (SMAW), & Gas Tungsten Arc Weld (GTAW).
• Perform other qualified duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Have a keen understanding of personal protective equipment (PPE) & safety precautions for welding, cutting and grinding.
• The ability to work overtime as required to include weekends.
