Cimarron in Marlow, OK is seeking an experienced welder to plan, lay out, assemble, and install metal parts according to blueprints and ASME codes. The role requires proficiency in MIG and Stick welding and the ability to read blueprints, operate power tools, and follow safety policies.

You will pass 6G and 3G tests, work in a team, support Lean and continuous improvement, and adapt to plant needs. The position is full-time, day shift, with physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent or two years related work experience.
  • Must pass 3G plate test and 6G pipe weld test.
  • Read and follow blueprints and welding specs.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • No relocation offered; must reside within 50 miles of Marlow, OK facility.

Responsibilities

  • Support safety initiatives and maintain equipment to operate safely.
  • Pass ASME Vessel Code weld test.
  • Weld fittings for pressurized vessel/pipe and perform MIG/Stik welding.
  • Set up and maintain welding equipment (arc welders, torches).
  • Read plans and blueprints and work from sketches as required.
  • Contribute to Lean and Continuous Improvement efforts.

Position requires a wide range of welding skills including light tacking to heavy flat, up weld, and overhead weld according to ASME Codes. Operate a variety of power tools including, but not limited to saws, grinders, drills, welders, and overhead cranes. Must be able to comply with company safety policies, keep the work area clean, and possess the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other related duties as assigned. Must be able to pass 6g and 3g tests.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible.
  • Must have the ability to pass the ASME Vessel Code Weld test.
  • Must have experience fitting and welding pressurized vessel/pipe.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Mig and Stick welding operations.
  • Must have the ability to short arc, spray arc, and use a torch proficiently.
  • The ability to set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment such as electric arc welders, and gas welders.
  • The ability to read and independently work from plans, sketches, diagrams, and blue prints.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the welding trade.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering on improvement projects.
  • Support the efforts of Lean and Continuous Improvement teams.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Create and maintain a safe and sanitary working environment.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirements.
What we're looking forBasic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, equivalent, or two (2) years related work experience.
  • Successfully Pass a 3G plate test and 6G pipe welding test.
  • Read and follow blue prints.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of facility location will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years minimum of related work experience.
