Qualifications

• 1–3 years welding experience or completion of a welding program/technical certificate.
• Ability to read and comprehend measurements and basic drawings/specifications.
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods; lift up to 30 lb.
• Work well individually and in teams; able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and/or parts for welding to specifications.
• Set up and operate equipment to cut, stamp, bend, form metal parts for welding.
• Perform welding using MIG, TIG, and plasma welders to join parts and vessels.
• Operate CNC plasma cutters and other electronically controlled welders as needed.
• Test finished welds for reliability and completeness; finish and re-weld if required.
• Clean and maintain welding equipment and support processes.
