Job summary

Master Halco, Inc. is seeking a Welder at our Charlotte, NC branch to weld pipe with MIG/ARC equipment and prepare sections per work orders. The role involves laying out sections on tables or jigs, performing visual inspections, and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Weld pipe using MIG/ARC methods and lay up sections per orders.
• Prepare and cut pipe sections and set up lays using jigs or tables.
• Inspect finished welds and maintain a clean, safe area.
• Locate materials and complete projects per work orders or verbal instructions.
• Perform other warehouse and fabrication duties as required.

The Welder's responsibilities include:

• Prepare, cut pipe sections using table or jig saw, then setup lay-up sections
• Weld pipe using MIG/ARC welding equipment and techniques.
• Complete projects using manufacturing work orders and/or verbal instructions
• Locate materials to complete project

Responsibilities

• Uses verbal or written instruction from work orders and collects materials for processing
• Cuts pipe using pipe cutting equipment
• Lays out pipe sections on a jig or table and welds with MIG/ARC welding equipment and techniques, applies cold galvanizing solution to protect welds
• Performs visual inspection on completed work ensuring quality
• Maintains a clean and safe work area
• Performs other warehouse and gate fabrication duties as required

Qualifications

• 2-3 years welding experience with MIG, ARC
• Experience working with hand tools
• Able to lift/move heavy materials (up to 75lbs)
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions
• Ability to perform own layouts using jigs
• Ability to work around heat and chemicals
• Must be able to work overtime as needed
