Holman has an outstanding opportunity for a Welder to join our team in Bartlett, IL

  • Pay: $25/hr
  • Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30 pm
  • Benefits start within 30 days of employment
  • 15 days of personal time in your first year
  • 10 paid holidays per year

What will you do?

  • Tack weld components in correct position.
  • Ensure quality weld of your weld
  • Daily maintenance of manual welding machines
  • Fabricate components to complete a project, will include cutting, welding, drilling and other techniques
  • Ability to work from blueprints and written specifications to meet customer requirements via MIG and TIG welding.
  • Use various processes including cutting, welding (MIG), drilling, and possibly others to fabricate components as required to complete projects.
  • Shall be able to measure and square weldments during production.
  • Utilize MIG welding processes Competently to join materials according to project specifications; ensure welds are strong, clean, and meet quality standards (TIG welding experience is a plus).
  • shall be able to adjust your machine’s settings to produce good welds on various thicknesses and types of material.
  • Conduct quality control checks on own work to ensure components meet required specifications and standards; perform inspections of welded joints and fabricated components to identify and rectify any defects.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in welding, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication environment competency in
  • Steel/Galvanneal and Alum MIG processes, TIG welding is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with cutting, drilling, and other fabrication techniques
  • Ability to work from blueprints and written specifications to fabricate components
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and practices in welding and fabrication environments
  • Flux core experience is a plus.
  • Lifting and rigging experience is a plus.
  • Experience with the use of an overhead crane or chain falls is required.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and or move objects up to 75 pounds.
  • Shall be proficient with use of typical grinding equipment.
  • Must be competent producing good welds while welding in flat and horizontal positions.
  • Strong mechanical/fabrication repair skills
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, independent, and reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Must pass a physical, drug test, and criminal background check prior to employment.

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $19.02 - $25.68 USD per hour.
