Job summary

B B Manufacturing Co. in Valencia, CA is seeking an experienced TIG welder to produce aerospace-grade weldments to exacting standards. You will follow qualified weld schedules, weld stainless parts (Group B) using TIG, and work with rotary tables.

The role requires AWS D17.1 Groove weld qualification and the ability to inspect welds, review quality data, participate in root cause analysis, and support NADCAP audits. Day shift, full-time, on-site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year welding experience or equivalent.
• Certified to AWS D17.1 Groove weld in Stainless Steel.

Responsibilities

• Follow weld schedules and TIG weld stainless steel parts.
• Perform weld inspections as a qualified inspector.

• Communicate tooling needs and fabricate internal tooling.

Job Summary

Responsible for performing TIG welding on various aerospace production parts to produce weldments to specifications and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow qualified weld schedule and perform welding on stainless steel parts that require fillet and groove TIG weld while utilizing rotary table. (Group B Parts)
• Qualified as a weld inspector and perform inspections in weld operations.
• Review quality data and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Participate and assist in NADCAP audit.
• Evaluate and prioritize workload according to needs. (Production & B&B fabrication)
• Assist team members when current responsibilities have been completed.
• Evaluate welder candidate and perform training.
• Communicate with requestor to design, place order, and fabricate tooling made from sheet metal and extruded aluminum for internal use.
• Obtain AWS D17.1 GTAW Welder Qualification on Stainless Steel Material Group or equivalent.
• Follows procedures and utilizes appropriate equipment to clean, prep, fit, weld and inspect parts.
• Understand ANSI 14.5 and AWS A2.4 symbology and interpretation.
• Understand and follow job step information, W/C priorities and schedule, WIP move, request NCMR, maintain material lot integrity, and record traceability information.

Qualifications

• 1 Year minimum experience in welding or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certified to AWS D17.1 Metal Group II (Stainless Steel) Groove weld in Tube at 1G position or equivalent.
