A leading company seeks entry-level welders to perform GMAW welding on various parts while adhering to quality standards and safety precautions. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED and be able to operate tools and read blueprints. This role offers an opportunity to gain skills in a modern production environment and requires physical capability to perform tasks efficiently.
Gain entry level skills to perform GMAW welding on a diversified line of standard weldments using American Welding Society welding symbols. Learn to set-up, fit and position weldments having a number of parts, use welding fixtures and jigs where applicable. Work from blueprints and job layouts; use measuring equipment and gauges. Work is subject to first and final piece inspections per the AWS D1.1 visual inspection requirements. Use hand grinders and dynafiles to remove weld splatter and sharp edges from metal materials. Work on a wide variety of manufactured parts; most on thin-gauge material.
