Job summary

Sellersburg Metals & Welding, a family-owned metal fabrication shop in Sellersburg, IN, is seeking a full-time Welder and Fitter to interpret drawings, fit and assemble components, and perform welding to meet project specs. On-site role with 40 hours weekly, 7am–5:30pm Monday through Thursday.

Candidates should be proficient in MIG, TIG and Pulse welding, able to read blueprints, and comfortable using fabrication tools.

Company Description Sellersburg Metals & Welding is a family-owned and operated metal fabrication company based in Sellersburg, Indiana. The 21,000 sq. ft. facility, including a 640 sq. ft. paint booth, is equipped to handle carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum projects of varying complexity. Using advanced equipment such as a 400-ton brake press, high-definition plasma table, and multiple overhead cranes, the company fabricates products that are shipped worldwide. The team focuses on delivering quality workmanship and reliable service, supporting customers with ductwork, custom transitions, conveyors, material handling equipment, handrails, stairs, and platforms.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Welder and Fitter role located in Sellersburg, IN. The position involves interpreting drawings and blueprints, fitting and assembling metal components, and performing welding operations to meet project specifications and quality standards. Daily tasks include operating fabrication equipment, preparing materials, setting up welding machines, and inspecting completed work for accuracy and structural integrity. Team members also collaborate with supervisors and other fabricators to meet production schedules, follow safety procedures, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Normal work hours are 7am til 5:30pm Monday through Thursday. This is a minimum of 40 hours per week job. No employment agencies, please.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong welding skills, including MIG, TIG and Pulse Welding.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of materials, particularly carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum used in fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and fabrication specifications.
• Experience with fitting, cutting, grinding, and using standard fabrication tools and shop equipment.
