Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a skilled MIG Welder at our Glendale, AZ facility. You will weld steel and aluminum components for trucks, trailers and support equipment, following blueprints and work orders. This is a hands-on, performance-driven role in our manufacturing team.

Responsibilities

• Performs all-position MIG welding to join steel and aluminum metals from 1/16” to 1” thick.
• Interprets and carries out work orders, blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions.
• Clamp parts into jigs or holding fixtures.
• Cleans burrs, spatter and weld flux from assemblies.
• Hand-count material for inventory purposes.
• Wears protective clothing and equipment and follows safety practices.

May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.**Physical Demands:**The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.U-Haul Holding Company, and its family of companies including U-Haul International, Inc.
