Job description

BASIC FUNCTION

To effectively weld products consisting of cast iron and aluminum alloy. Assemble new and/or replacement turbine housings by operating welding equipment. Must be able to assemble complete functional wastegates for the assembly process from blueprints.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  1. Weld wastegate assemblies to turbine housings.
  2. Inspect and identify cracks in welds of wastegates.
  3. Assemble, calibrate, and weld waste-gate actuators.
  4. Operate equipment to meet production and quality standards.
  5. Make necessary adjustments to weld pressures as required.
  6. Maintain equipment and report malfunctions and safety issues promptly.
  7. Transport materials using proper handling methods.
  8. Keep the work area orderly, including cleaning equipment, floors, and tables.
  9. Maintain quality standards by following inspection procedures.
  10. Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies.
  11. Communicate and enforce safe work procedures.
  12. Identify safety issues and implement corrective actions.
  13. Follow current quality and control policies.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
  15. Observe all safety and shop rules.
  16. Attendance is essential.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift operation license if applicable.
  • Two years of assembly experience.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and production equipment.
  • Basic blueprint reading and SPC knowledge.
  • Technical training in welding is preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions, safety rules, and regulations.
