Job Summary
Wieland is hiring 3rd shift Welders for Levels I, II, and III. Skilled and experienced welders will work from shop drawings, procedures, or other written, verbal, or electronic instructions to perform a wide variety of operations associated with the welded assembly of final products, sub‑assemblies and components while adhering to ASME Code Safety Regulations. Welders will also maintain equipment and facilities in a safe, clean, and efficiently operational manner, maintain records, and prepare documentation regarding safety, quality, productivity, preventive maintenance, and housekeeping.

Shift: 3rd Shift – Monday to Thursday, 7:30 pm – 6:00 am
Compensation
Starting pay: $25.00 per hour, adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
Pay schedule: Bi‑weekly
Performance evaluation at 90 days and 6 months with the potential for a $0.50 increase after each evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Follow production orders, prepare parts, tack and weld components into assemblies.
- Execute welds in accordance with company procedures and documents, while meeting defined quality standards.
- Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
- Properly maintain tools and equipment assigned to perform duties.
Level I Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience or equivalent trade school education.
- Capable of MIG and TIG welding of parts and pipe, but not yet certified for welding under pressure.
- Ability to read and apply WPS and drawings.
- Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
- Methodical, organized, and precise.
- Proactive in proposing solutions.
- Perform work in various physical positions including standing, kneeling, bending and reaching.
- Work in a heavy industrial setting with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, industrial odors, fumes, gases, chemicals, oil, grease, smoke, dust, noise, vibration, work from an elevated platform and working in cramped quarters.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, safety eyewear, safety footwear, face shield, welding helmet, gloves and apron.
- MIG/TIG @ 6G preferred – minimum 1 year of pipe welding experience.
Level II Qualifications
- At least 3–5 years of experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels.
- Experience and certification in welding in accordance with ASME standard – certified to weld parts under pressure.
- Ability to read and apply WPS and drawings.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues related to fitting and welding components.
Level III Qualifications
- At least 5+ years of experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels with certified experience.
- Experience and certification in welding in accordance with ASME standard.
- Ability to train other welders.
- Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings, and teach others.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fitting and welding components.
- Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
Physical Demands

- Work in a heavy industrial setting with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, industrial odors, fumes, gases, chemicals, oil, grease, smoke, dust, noise, vibration, work from an elevated platform and working in cramped quarters.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, safety eyewear, safety footwear, face shield, welding helmet, welding gloves, welding sleeves/jacket, welding apron/chaps, and respirator if required.
- Close and distant vision, color vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and hand‑eye coordination.
