Qualifications

Description

A Welder at D&H Industries performs a variety of welding utilizing MIG/Robotic Welders and Spot/Resistance Welders ensure components are being welded to engineered specifications.

SCHEDULE: This is a 2nd Shift position. ($3.00/hour Shift Premium)

Summer Hours: Monday through Thursday, 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., 10-hour shifts. Subject to change based on business need.

fall Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 to 10-hour days. Any Saturday work is based on business need and is voluntary.

THE WHAT

What will you be doing?

· Read blueprints/drawings and job routing and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. Determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements

· Set up components for welding according to specifications.

· Weld components/parts by operating MIG /Robotic Welders and Spot/Resistance Welders to setup sheets specifications.

· Produces complex welded assemblies to close tolerances to produce quality results.

· Inspects weldments for obvious and non-obvious defects such as, but not limited to: weld spatter, rough welds, missing welds and sharp corners/edges, correct weld lengths and size.

· Performs metal finishing such as grinding to remove defects and/or fix surfaces to bring them to the required quality level.

· May be assigned to work in other areas of the production floor as needed to meet production deadlines.
