Job summary

Havis, Inc. in Warminster, PA is seeking a Welder for the 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:00pm, Mon-Fri) to weld stainless steel, aluminum and carbon steel, and fabricate custom parts using MIG and TIG welding.

This role requires following work orders, interpreting drawings, and maintaining quality and safety at all times. Qualified applicants will have a High School Diploma or GED, own basic tools, and the ability to lift 50–100 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must supply own basic hand tools.
• Able to MIG and TIG weld up to ¼” steel and aluminum.
• Ability to Read and Interpret Quality Documents and Drawings.
• Must regularly be able to lift 50–100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Welds various metals: stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel.
• Fabricates custom parts using MIG/TIG welding.
• Sets up for daily work per production schedule or verbal instructions.
• Reads work orders and engineered drawings; follows priority of orders.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and moves finished goods as needed.

Job description

Job Title: Welder 2nd Shift (3:00pm-11:00pm Mon-Fri) Department: Fabrication Accountability: This position reports to the Production Supervisor - Fabrication

Responsibilities

• Responsible for welding various metals: stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel.
• Welds and Fabricates custom parts using a variety of machines including but not limited to, Millermatic 250 Mig Welder, Syncrowave 350 LX Tig Welder
• As workload requires, this position may involve other fabrication work in area’s such but not limited to Fastener Insertion Press, Shear, Spot Weld Machine, Auto-weld machine, Milling machine, Deburring, and Sanding Equipment
• Executes to work orders and engineering drawings
• Receives verbal orders to fabricate custom designed parts and products
• Receives written and verbal instruction on priority of orders
• Receives, checks and handles raw material from inventory as needed
• Sets up for daily work according to production schedule and/or verbal instructions
• Checks parts, products and machinery for defects
• Works at different workstations as job requires
• Maintains a clean safe work area
• Moves finished goods to other inventory or work areas
• Assists with special projects as assigned by supervisor

• Must be able to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment
• Able to MIG and TIG weld up to ¼” steel and aluminum.
• Ability to Read and Interpret Quality Documents and Drawings
• Able to perform basic mathematical computations
• Must regularly be able to lift and move from 50 to 100 lbs
• Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing
