PTMW, Inc. is a metal manufacturing company specializing in metal enclosures for railroad, data, and power industries. We seek experienced steel and aluminum welders skilled in welding structural steel, sheet steel, and aluminum in our production facility.

Summary

We have immediate openings for skilled welders to work on in-house projects and potentially at client sites. Responsibilities include reviewing specifications and drawings, laying out, cutting, fabricating, and welding metal components. Candidates should have at least one year of welding experience and familiarity with standard welding tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret drawings and weld standards to understand project scope and specifications.
  • Follow proper welding procedures and symbols on drawings.
  • Use calibrated measuring tools for fitting assemblies.
  • Operate industry tools and equipment, including plasma cutters, oxyacetylene torches, and air arc tools.
  • Weld parts in various positions, using processes such as GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW, on materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
  • Maintain and repair equipment as needed.

Starting pay ranges from $22.00 to $28.00 per hour, plus a $3.00 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of welding experience
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols
  • Proficiency in math and tape measure reading
  • Experience with GMAW, FCAW, GTAW welding processes
  • Ability to pass visual and bend tests
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work on ladders/scaffolding
