Job Responsibilities:
- Apply appropriate welding processes such as MIG and TIG to meet specifications, inspect, and repair welds as needed to support production and assembly of exhaust pipe components.
- Perform as an active team member, participating in cell-level BOS meetings and assisting in other tasks within the cell.
- Obtain supplies and parts required for the job and perform proper setup of welding power supplies and controls.
- Inspect all welds to ensure they meet quality standards, troubleshoot problems, and make adjustments as required.
- Assist other employees in the cell when welding is not required.
- Maintain cleanliness of the welding station and surrounding work areas.
- Assist the team in 5S initiatives and the implementation of Lean principles.
- Handle materials and tools, set up welding equipment, and inspect welds and products to meet specifications.
- Perform as a team member, capable of learning, performing, and rotating to other workstations within the cell.
- Ensure all work is performed within acceptable quality, quantity, performance, and safety standards.
- Conduct safety checks and preventative maintenance on welding equipment, and complete daily safety forms.
- Perform welding and repair on parts according to specifications.
- Adhere to safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and performance standards outlined in company policies and work instructions.
- Work overtime as required.
- Set up welders, apply appropriate welding processes, inspect welds, and make necessary adjustments.
- Read and understand work orders, directions, charts, forms, and safety regulations.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Correctly use and read various gauges.
- Work well with others in a team environment.
