Job Duties:

1. Lay out, position, align and fit together parts of metal according to blueprints sketches in preparation for welding.
2. Perform MIG or stick welding of steel assemblies and operate cutting torch.
3. Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
4. Ensure parts received are of satisfactory quality and work performed meets production standards.
5. Discontinue work process and notify supervisor of any quality defects.
6. Record and report work order information and production times as required.
7. Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.
8. Leave equipment and materials in proper place and order at the end of shift.
9. Comply with all OSHA, EPA, local laws, and company safety policies.
10. Management may add or change duties at any time.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 2 years’ welding experience.
3. Ability to pass a weld test and meet respiratory requirements.
4. Basic math, writing, and computer skills.
5. Proficiency in English reading, writing, and comprehension.
6. Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
7. Availability for assigned hours plus overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements:

1. Prolonged standing, stooping, bending, reaching, walking.
2. Repetitive motions with hands for grasping, pushing, pulling, fine manipulations.
3. Good eyesight for reading blueprints and documents.
4. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
