Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Voorheesville, NY, is seeking a Welder to support the assembly of industrial compressor packages. You will perform TIG/MIG welding on carbon and stainless steel, fabricate pipes and components, and inspect welds to ensure quality and precision.

You will report to the Package Manufacturing Supervisor and work 2nd shift on-site, with a favorable safety-driven environment and opportunities for growth within a global industrial leader.

Qualifications

• Certification in Welding and at least 1 year of welding experience.
• Experience with pipe fitting and fabrication in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication specifications.
• Experience using MIG/TIG welding equipment, pipe fabrication tools, and common measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and MIG welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel components used in compressor package assembly.
• Fabricate and fit pipes, brackets, base assemblies, and other components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Inspect finished welds and assemblies to ensure quality, structural, and dimensional requirements.
• Use welding equipment, measuring devices, hand tools, and fabrication equipment to support daily production activities.

Your role

As a Welder, you play a vital role in our production process by performing high-quality welding and fabrication work that supports the assembly of industrial compressor packages. Your expertise in welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication helps ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and precision. By joining our team, you will contribute to our commitment to engineering excellence and customer satisfaction. You will report to the Package Manufacturing Supervisor.

You will

• Perform TIG and MIG welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel components used in compressor package assembly.
• Fabricate and fit pipes, brackets, base assemblies, and other components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

To succeed, you will need

• Certification in Welding and at least one year of experience as a welder or equivalent years of work experience as a Welder.
• Experience with pipe fitting and fabrication in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication specifications.
• Experience using MIG/TIG welding equipment, pipe fabrication tools, and common measuring devices.

Job location

Your job location for this role will be at our advanced manufacturing facility in Voorheesville, United States (US) and requires working onsite. The schedule for this role is 2nd Shift, Monday-Thursday, 3:00 PM-1:30 AM.
