Lake Air Products is seeking a 2nd shift welder to join our Roseville, MN facility. If you have TIG experience and enjoy working with your hands, this role offers a hands-on opportunity to weld components and verify quality against specifications.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld, strong blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while wearing PPE.Join a team focused on quality and strong performance across medical, aerospace, and defense

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform measurements.
• Strong teamwork and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications.
• Observe tests on welded surfaces (hydrostatic, x-ray, dimensional tolerance).
• Develop templates or tooling to hold and align parts.
• Determine equipment and welding methods based on metallurgy and welding techniques.
• Inspect finished products and compare with samples for specification compliance.
• Inspect grooves, angles, and gaps using measuring instruments.
• Weld metal using various welding arcs.

Position Summary

We are looking for a 2nd shift welder to join our growing location in Roseville, MN. If you have TIG experience and enjoy working with your hands, this could be a great position for you.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler.
• Observe tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance.
• Develop templates or tooling and other work aids to hold and align parts.
• Determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
• Examine finished products and spare parts and compare them with samples to check whether the specifications are met.
• Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using measuring instruments.
• Weld metal, such as fusing metal segments, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and other types of welding arcs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld (TIG welding preferred).
• Excellent people skills, with the ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission.
• Ability to weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Read blueprints and perform all necessary measurements.
