Job summary

Lake Air Products is seeking a skilled 2nd shift welder for our Roseville, MN facility. If you have TIG/MIG experience and enjoy hands-on fabrication, this role could be a great fit.

The position requires layout, welding, inspection and adherence to specifications, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements. Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent, 7+ years TIG/MIG/Tack-weld experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld experience (TIG welding preferred).
• Reading blueprints and performing all necessary measurements.
• Excellent people skills and ability to partner with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using rulers and calipers.
• Observe tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance.
• Develop templates or tooling to hold and align parts.
• Determine equipment and welding methods using knowledge of metallurgy and welding techniques.
• Examine finished products and spare parts to ensure specifications are met.
• Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances using measuring instruments.
• Weld metal using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and other welding arcs.

• Determines required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
• Examining finished products and spare parts and comparing them with samples to check whether the specifications are met.
• Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using measuring instruments
• welding metal, such as fusing metal segments, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and other types of welding arcs

Qualifications
