Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Ramsey, MN is seeking a skilled welder to produce a wide variety of weldments safely and efficiently. You will read prints, set up jobs, operate MIG/Pulse welding equipment, and verify work against specifications.

This role requires the ability to work on a 2nd shift (3:30pm–2:00am), lift up to 30-50 lbs, and complete required paperwork accurately. A high school diploma and welding test are required; welding certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must pass company weld test.
• MIG/Pulse welding experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred.
• Communicate in English (read, write and understand).
• Read prints/work instructions, jig loading.
• Read and complete process sheets.
• Ability to work independently, relying on weld print book documentation.
• Adhere to company standards.
• Work effectively in a cell/team environment.

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

Produce a wide variety of weldments in a safe, quality and productive manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Prior to each job, accurately count all pieces to ensure no extra/missing parts
• Set-up jobs; load and unload jigs
• Operate welding equipment according to job guidelines and verify work to print(s)
• Perform all aspects of job in a safe and productive manner with minimal defect
• Perform secondary inspections of other welders and verify they are to print
• Report supply needs, equipment breakdowns, shortages and poor-quality materials/products to supervisor or lead
• Complete required paperwork in a correct and timely manner
• Operate hoist and manual pallet jack

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Company weld test required
• MIG/Pulse welding experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
• Vocational training and/or welding certificate preferred
• Communicate in English (read, write and understand)
• Read prints/work instructions, jig loading
• Read and complete process sheets
• Ability to work independently, relying on weld print book documentation
• Adhere to company standards
• Work effectively in a cell/team environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Lift up to 30 lbs up to 60% of shift and 50 lbs up to 30% of shift; push/pull up to 30 lbs
• Walk, stand, bend, twist/turn, reach overhead and grasp tools as necessary

WORK SCHEDULE:

2nd Shift, Monday - Thursday 3:30pm until 2:00am

PAY:

$22.25/hour
