Job description

This position works under direct supervision while using MIG welders to assemble steel fabrications to job order specifications and engineering drawings. The team member will be required to follow and meet safety and quality standards while maintaining production.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures
  2. Perform MIG welding of tack-welded components
  3. Assemble and tack-weld steel frames and other component parts of machinery and equipment in preparation for final welding
  4. Produce strong quality welds that meet site quality standards
  5. Use locating fixtures and positioners to assist in the welding process
  6. Understand the metal fabricating processes
  7. Read and understand drawings and welding symbols
  8. Utilize quality checks to meet product standards
  9. Read a tape measure and blueprints
  10. Practice 5S within assigned area
  11. Maintain standard production times while maintaining quality work
  12. Any other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. MIG ARC welding vocation training preferred but not required
  3. Preferred experience in manufacturing environment
  4. Knowledge of basic fabrication practices and materials is preferred, as is general mechanical knowledge
  5. Willing to use air, power and hand tools, including cutting torches and grinders
Salary: $19.00 hr. plus $1.00 shift premium for 2nd shift
Physical Requirements:
  1. Standing, crouching, bending 8+ hours
  2. Lifting - maximum of 40 lbs.
