Position Summary

The welder will join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials, applying appropriate techniques with various welding devices. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise and an innovative mindset to help us lead in our industry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Position parts according to work orders, routings, prints, and knowledge of the unit.
  • Regulate machine settings for proper weld current, wire feed, and gas flow.
  • Join two pieces of steel or aluminum by heating to achieve proper fusion.
  • Ensure fit, function, and cosmetic quality meet or exceed standards.
  • Remove weld imperfections from surface of products.
  • Record labor, downtime, scrap, rework, and document all work order information.
  • Complete welding and related tasks as assigned by team and crew leaders.
  • Maintain safety regulations to ensure a clean, accident-free, healthy work environment.
  • Coordinate with team leaders on safety, quality, production, inventory, or customer service issues.
  • Attend training sessions for welding, fabrication, and safety.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; at least one year of welding experience.
  • Knowledge of blueprints and welding symbols is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret English language documents.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities for practical fabrication issues.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
