Job summary

• Communicate with upstream and downstream to address safety, quality, and efficiency concerns.
• Demonstrate ability to initiate and uphold safety policies and housekeeping standards.

Basic Job Functions:

• Welding steel structural parts as specified per drawing or print.
• Operating grinder to prepare and finish welds.
• Operating flip rite.
• Operating transfers.
• Operating magnetic drill.
• Full visual inspection of part ensuring all welds are in place and properly applied.
• Effectively communicating with upstream and downstream to address safety, quality and efficiency issues/concerns.
• Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• WQ1 (2G) weld certification
