Base pay range

$25.50/hr - $30.00/hr

NOW HIRING: We are looking for a Welder 2 to join our team. A Welder 2 is responsible for performing MIG welding, layout, tacking, fabrication and building functions in the manufacture of various products in accordance with product specifications. Other combinations of formal training and experience will be considered. Successful completion of internal welding test is mandatory.

Job Title: Welder 2

Location: Winsted, MN

Salary Range: $25.50 – 30.00 per hour

(In compliance with Minnesota Pay Transparency Law, this range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.)

Shift Schedule: 2nd shift Monday – Thursday 3pm – 1am, Weekend shift Friday – Sunday 5am – 5pm

Shift Differential: 2nd shift - $1.50/hour, Weekend shift - $2.50/hour

As a Welder 2, you will:

  • Perform the following GMAW welds - butt - V - single bevel and fillet welds on carbon steel
  • Produce welds that pass visual inspection
  • Perform MIG welding tasks to Welding Procedures Specifications (WPS) and CWI inspection requirements
  • Demonstrate the ability to weld the above weld joints with either .045 and/or 062 diameter wires
  • Layout and tack to specifications
  • Use grinder or other appropriate tools to clean, smooth out, grind or finish parts as needed
  • Use various machines to fabricate, build, and design products
  • Repair improperly welded pieces and fill holes
  • Perform work at the appropriate pace to maintain quality and productivity requirements
  • Must be AWS GMAW certified
    • Welders employed with Millerbernd will have the opportunity to complete all weld certification requirements including AWS certifications within 14 days of employment
Role Qualifications as a Welder 2:

  • High School diploma or equivalent Successful completion of internal welding test is mandatory
  • Preferred candidates will have 3 years of experience in metal fabrication/welding experience
  • Proficient knowledge in interpreting blueprints, mechanical drawings, and weld symbols
  • Experience in use of weld positioners, turners, fixtures and equipment
  • Ability to operate hoists, cranes, and other powered industrial vehicles as needed
  • Ability to operate various power and hand tools
  • Knowledge of weld positioners, turners, fixtures and equipment
