We are currently hiring a MIG Welder—1st Shift Production for our Jackson, TN location, starting at $21.25/hour. The hours for the 1st Shift are Monday through Thursday, 5:00 am to 3:30 pm or 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, with opportunities for overtime pay.

Job Description

To be considered for employment, applicants must be competent MIG welders and pass a weld test. This is not a machine-welding position. All applicants must pass a weld test to advance in the hiring process.

• Welding in a fast-paced production environment.
• MIG welding various attachments, including 12 gauge to .179" brackets and tubing.
• Most positions require passing ASME Certification, which involves a 6" vertical down weld with full penetration on .094" material with a .052" gap. The welds must be defect-free, code-compliant, and cosmetically acceptable. Follow all safety regulations and promote safety among co-workers.
• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
• Perform gas metal arc welding, flux cored arc welding.
• Assemble and MIG weld parts following blueprints and instructions.
• Conduct quality inspections of work.
• Maintain equipment and report issues.
• Perform repairs, modifications, and retrofits on production items.
• Provide data for project monitoring.
• Assist in training junior employees and inspecting their work.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of tasks and projects.
• Sign off on work orders and quality checks.
• Stay updated on technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
• Participate in developing a LEAN manufacturing culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned, which may include operating various welding and non-welding equipment to meet customer demands.

Qualifications

• Relevant MIG welding experience within the last 2 years. Machine welding experience is not applicable.
• Reliable transportation to/from work.
• Ability to report to work on scheduled days.
