Job summary

Momentum Manufacturing Group, LLC in Vermont is seeking a Welder to fit and weld steel, aluminum, and stainless parts using MIG and/or TIG processes. This role requires a strong eye for detail and a commitment to safety, with the ability to read blueprints and interpret drawings.

You will set up welding machines, perform MIG/TIG welds on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent education/experience.
• Two years of MIG or TIG welding experience required.
• Experience with steel, aluminum and/or stainless steel preferred.
• Current & valid certification a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

Position Title: Welder

FLSA Status: Non Exempt

Position Summary

Responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel parts using MIG and/or TIG process. The work is repetitive in nature and requires a strong sense of details. Responsibility to perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by your supervisor may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up welding machines based on the job at hand.
• Read & interpret blueprints and or drawings to determine the specific welding required
• MIG or TIG weld Steel, Aluminum or stainless steel
• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
• Must wear PPE to include but not limited to welding helmet and welding gloves
• Must be able to use precision measuring tool to inspect grooves and angles
• Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment.
• Follow company rules and policies
• Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
• Follow safety rules and quality standards
• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
• Must have the ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner
• Must show up at work on time and as scheduled.

Required Qualifications

Work Environment

This position operates in both office and manufacturing floor environments. Exposure to noise, machinery, temperature variation, and industrial conditions may occur when accessing plant areas.
